PCA Club Race At VIR
RennGruppe made the short trip up the highway to Danville for the PCA Club Race at Virginia International Raceway, June 24-27 with 5 of its finest race cars! Despite the unbelievable heat that weekend (anywhere from 96 - 102 deg. with 85%+ humidity!), the crew was in thepaddock at VIR with full staffing in support of several of our regular racers. This Greenwood widebody corvette (#20007) was built for and owned by Steve Goldin. Greenwood borrowed the car back to run the 1976 24 Hours of Le Mans. The car has a 600 cubic inch Can AM big block aluminum Reynolds engine producing 880 horsepower. The car was clocked at well over 220 mph on the Mulsane straight in the 1976 race!
